Leicester players soak Claudio Ranieri & journalists in champagne     Leicester players soak Claudio Ranieri & journalists in champagne | IUWORLDNEWS

Even following confirmation on Monday that Leicester had won the Premier League could not have prepared anyone for the events at the King Power on Saturday.

Everton were dispatched with ease, 3-1 by the champions, in another clinical display which could and should have ended in more goals for and none against.

Before the game there were great scenes as Andrea Bocelli led the celebrations with (King) Claudio Ranieri.

And, after the game, the image and pictures of Ranieri and Leicester captain Wes Morgan lifting the Premier League trophy will be one that lives with many of us for years to come.

The atmosphere in the King Power was incredible and it seems safe to say that none of the players or coaching stuff, nor the supporters, wanted to leave the pitch.

When they did, there were more high jinks as Claudio Ranieri started his press conference after the match.

The protagonists were Christian Fuchs and Kasper Schmeichel who soaked Ranieri and the journalists present in champagne.

Good stuff!

Claudio Ranieri, Danny Simpson, Christian Fuchs urge Leicester stars to stay for 'another year'.

Claudio Ranieri has urged his Leicester City stars to stay for "another year and then go wherever they want".

Interest in the key players who took the Foxes to a first ever Premier League title is set to be high this summer, but their manager Ranieri insists now would be the wrong time for them to leave.

Newspapers both at home and abroad have reported that there is interest in midfielder N'Golo Kante, but Ranieri said: "I feel it is possible, maybe, to keep all the players.
